Wires and Lights Deja Vu Tour 2023
Di 16 Mai 2023 Archiv

Nachholtermin vom 29.03.2022. Tickets behalten Gültigkeit.

It is with crushing disappointment that we have to let you know our upcoming Deja Vu European tour has had to be postponed yet again. We’re assuming we don’t need to explain why. As a consequence our warm-up UK shows in Frome, Cardiff, Brighton, and Norwich have had to be rescheduled also. However our UK tour in April is still going ahead as planned although the venue has changed in Newcastle to the University. All existing tickets sales remain valid for the newly rescheduled shows.

Our warm up shows in Brighton at Chalk has been rescheduled to Tuesday 12th April and our show at Cardiff Tramshed now on Wednesday 13th April. The Frome show at the Cheese & Grain will now take place on Sunday 22nd May as a warm-up to our appearance at the Bearded Theory Festival on Friday 27th May, with Norwich Waterfront now rescheduled for Tuesday 21st June. Salvation, as before, will still be our very special guests at those four shows. Salvation will also be joining us and The Rose Of Avalanche at our Leeds 02 Academy show on Sunday 17th April.

Our Deja Vu European tour will now take place in April-May 2023, full schedule below. Again, all tickets remain valid for the new dates. Please note that there has been an extra show added in Valencia, Spain, for Sunday 30th April, 2023. Tickets will go on sale shortly. Also, please note that the venue has changed for the two shows in Budapest on 10th & 11th of May, 2023, to the A38 from Dürer Kert. Again, all existing tickets remain valid.

Please note that we are also very pleased to be able to announce that we will be appearing at Live Am See Stage, Meschede, Germany, on Saturday 25th June this year, the day following our appearance at the Sinner’s Day Festival Special in Oostende, Belgium. Ticket link for Meschede here: https://www.eventim-light.com/de/a/5ad6eef9082b0004ef99ab7f/e/61f96ba8da1f3544f0c3927e

One thing we have been asked for clarification about is the tickets already purchased for our two London shows at Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd April. This is the info we have received from the promoters:

Tickets bought for Saturday 2nd May 2020 or Saturday 24th April 2021 are now valid for Saturday 23rd April this year.

Tickets bought for Sunday 3rd May 2020 or Friday 23rd April 2021 are now valid for Friday 22nd April this year.

We do apologise for all the postponements and changes and any and all inconveniences caused and would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your understanding and co-operation. The boys (well, they’re not really boys anymore except in their own minds) are really excited and can’t wait to get out there and make an unholy racket for you once again. More dates for the summer will be announced shortly and please be advised our previously announced North American tour for September and October with The Chameleons (UK) and Theatre Of Hate is still going ahead.

We’re sure you’ll remember us telling you a few week ago that our scheduled tour for this coming March-April had to be postponed (yet again) because of the global pandemic. We also promised to let you know the new dates as soon as we had all the relevant info.
So, all of us here at MWIS are very pleased to be able to tell you that – thanks largely to the hard work of our agent, Steve Backman and all the relevant promoters – the Mission’s tour has once again been rescheduled for the same time next year, 2022. The tour, originally entitled ‘The United European Party Tour’ and scheduled to take place last year and which, in fact, did kick off with the band able to play 10 of the scheduled 55 shows before the lockdowns were enforced has now been re-christened ‘The Déjà Vu Tour’ and will kick off on Saturday 5th March, 2022, at Het Depot vzw, in Leuven, Belgium and will culminate with two nights at the Shepherds Bush Empire in London on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd April.
Special guests as confirmed for the the previous dates will remain the same – The Rose Of Avalanche for the UK, Gene Loves Jezebel in Portugal and Spain, and Wires & Lights in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Holland.
All tickets previously purchased for the 2020 and 2021 dates will remain valid for the new dates.
Wayne Hussey commented: “As cabin fever is kicking in for most of us by now – there are only so many Netflix shows one can take – I can only surmise that by this time next year everyone will be absolutely desperate to get out of the house and congregate in a big room with a bunch of like-minded souls to watch and hear a bunch of blokes nearing retirement age making a right old noisy din. In other words coming to see The Mission play the songs you know and (mostly) love and having a right ol’ knees-up and singalong. “You are a tower of strength” to me will hold extra potency. I dunno about you but I can’t wait.”
