Varun Grover is an Indian comedian, screenwriter, lyricist, and poet who is best known for his work in the Indian entertainment industry. He was born on January 26, 1980, in Sundernagar, Himachal Pradesh, India.

Grover started his career as a software engineer, but soon realized that his true passion lay in writing and comedy. He began performing stand-up comedy in 2004 and quickly gained popularity for his humorous take on social issues and Indian culture.

Grover’s career in the entertainment industry began when he was hired as a writer for the Indian TV show “The Great Indian Comedy Show.” He went on to write for several other TV shows, including “Comedy Circus” and “Oye! It’s Friday!” He also wrote the screenplay and dialogues for the hit Bollywood film “Masaan” in 2015.

In addition to his work as a screenwriter, Grover is also an accomplished poet and lyricist. He has written lyrics for several popular Bollywood songs, including “Moh Moh Ke Dhaage” from the film “Dum Laga Ke Haisha” and “Jugni” from the film “Queen.”

Grover has won several awards for his work, including the National Film Award for Best Lyrics in 2016 for the song “Moh Moh Ke Dhaage” and the Filmfare Award for Best Dialogue in 2019 for the film “Andhadhun.”
